Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is set to release this holiday season
Gamescom 2015 surpassed everyone’s expectation as several new game titles were announced at the event, with some attention also given to some older titles such as Ori and the Blind Forest. Moon Studios, the team behind Ori and the Blind Forest, announced that a new Definitive Edition for the game will be rolled out to Microsoft’s Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam at the Gamescom conference.
Moon Studios did not give any further details about Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, however, the developers labeled the upcoming version as an “Ultimate version of Ori." Furthermore, the studio also announced that it will appreciate fan feedback regarding the upcoming edition, which means if you want something to be included in Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, this just might be the right time to ask the developers.
The studio also pointed out very minor details about what it plans to include in the new edition, pointing out new areas, mechanics, artwork, and new abilities, however, nothing of the sort has yet been confirmed. We expect to hear the announcement of this upcoming Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition in the upcoming weeks, as Moon Studios announced that the new edition will be arriving for Xbox One and Windows 10 this holiday season.
For those unaware of Ori and the Blind Forest, it is a platform adventure video game and was launched recently on March 11, 2015. Players take the role of Ori, a guardian spirit whose task is to restore the forest and protect the Spirit Tree.
Along the quest, players will come across several enemies who aim to destroy the forest and the Spirit Tree completely, which Ori will have to battle against with abilities and upgrades that are acquired by solving puzzles along the way. An Xbox 360 version of Ori and the Blind Forest was also announced previously, it is said to come out later this year.
