Google Inc New Logo Depicts Its Endeavor To Reach Multiplatform Audiences

Google yesterday made changes to its logo, which now matches with its parent company Alphabet. The change in logo would be the first major change to the search giant after Mr. Sundar Pichai took over as CEO.

According to The Verge, the new logo comprises softer colors and a Sans-serif font. Not only does the new logo of Google look similar to that of its parent company, but these changes have taken place on almost all of Google’s services.

Currently on Google’s main search page, the search giant features a video animation about how the logo evolved over the last 17 years. The new update is said to roll out on Google’s entire platform, while the main search page already had the update globally. A specific change to Google’s new logo can be found in the first letter of the word Google, which is now striped with all four colors of the search giant and kept in upper case.

Mr. Pichai said in an interview with The Verge that he plans on helping users connect better whilst helping them manage and share information in more efficient ways. When asked about the new logo, Mr. Pichai said it was revamped to better reflect how people use the search giant.

To add to that, the logo also needed to reflect how the search giant no longer remains on just desktop platforms and in fact can also be found competing on many other platforms.

A list of Google’s services would likely be facing changes in their logos too, which includes Google Search, Google Plus, Google Maps, Google News, Google Translate, and Google Business apps. What’s interesting to know is the move by Google would be done on all platforms from Android, Android Car Kit to all other user interfaces that the search giant has.
