Google Inc Partnered With LG And Huawei |
The news of this was leaked through @OnLeaks Twitter account, owned by Nowhereelse. The past record of Nowhereelse’s leaks has been quite accurate and many of them have turned out to be true.
So, as for what is currently known, LG has returned to manufacture a new Nexus smartphone after a gap of over a year. This smartphone will have a display of 5.2-inches (the Nexus 5 display is 4.95-inches, which makes it a little bigger), along with two speakers on the front, a new USB type-C port, and a fingerprint sensor, oddly, placed at the back of the device.

Furthermore, the dimensions of this new smartphone are also rather unconventional. The length of the phone is 146.9mm, which makes it longer than the 2013’s Nexus 5, but the increased height is probably because of the speakers on the front. It is expected that in comparison with the previous Nexus 5, this one will be slimmer with an extended rear camera, similar to the iPhone 6.
Moreover, the device that Huawei is building with Google will be the Chinese company’s first attempt at manufacturing a Nexus. This device is expected to be the successor of the Nexus 6 from the last year. This phone will have a 5.7-inch display, which is smaller than that of Nexus 6 (6-inch); it’s probably a smarter choice considering the 6-inch display was considered too big.
This device is also expected to be narrower than the previous one; it will be 78.3mm while the old Nexus 6 is 83mm. The upcoming device sounds quite similar to the iPhone 6 Plus so far and to strengthen the comparison, the new smartphone is also expected to have a metal body.

According to Evan Blass, blogger, editor, and ex-phone leaker, the Nexus that Huawei is manufacturing will sport a Snapdragon 820 chip with a 2, 560 x 1,440 display. Moreover, the upcoming Nexus phablet will have also have front-facing speakers, a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and a USB type-C port.
Of course, these devices are expected to run with Android’s latest version, minus the bloatware. But the release dates of these devices, along with their prices and further details are yet to be revealed. Do stay tuned to find out.
